Welcome To Dragons Valley

Welcome to my new fledgling community, I can imagine that many of you who may have stumbled upon my humble site may be thinking to yourselves, "oh no.. now this loser is copying (insert popular dragon site here.)" Well, short answer would be your right, long answer however is that this type of site has been my goal from the beginning.

It’s only that my skills and knowledge were quite poor when it came to web design and I never really knew how. In 2007 however I discovered the means to make a site such as this. Using some software that had been provided to me I created Dragons Valley as a sub-domain on my homepage. Unfortunately DV was online for less then a month and had nothing but problems.

The technology was about three years obsolete and due to numerous security flaws and my lack of experience the site had crashed irreparably after about three weeks. As I had gone nearly that entire time period without sleep and was having immense difficulties with employment and college, I was obviously quite exhausted and was forced to put this site on hiatus.

Now, one nervous break down and a year later, I have obtained more up to date programming and have decided to give Dragons Valley a second chance! I am still learning how to use the coding that makes up this site and some bugs may still occur, but I am confident that this time DV will be successful. (or at least last more then a month.)

Now that I have obtained the necessary resources to begin this community I have finally begun to see my desire come to life, a desire that I’ve had since the days I stared in awe at the effectiveness of Altfandra to bring unity and support to dragon lovers around the globe.

This site is primitive and young, it will take time to grow, it lacks fellowship, it lacks recognition, and it lacks notice and activity. But the one thing that it does have is purpose, and as long as it can help spread the love and admiration of dragons, I will be happy.

I welcome all who are interested to join in, be patient and grow with us. Our moderators currently include Mojo-LaHojo, Skyla dragon, and myself. Tips and comments are welcome and encouraged; please use the feedback link in the menu.

Finishing Touches

Finishing Touches: The communities finishing touches are about done, everything seems to be set up, it should be fine for new members to begin registering now, and I will try to repair bugs as they arrive.

I intend to obtain member galleries for this site as well, but I’m being delayed in my progress on that matter. In the meantime I will seek to obtain new content over the next few weeks and as the site grows. I welcome all who visit DV to place links to their favorite dragon sites in the web links section, feel free to join in the forum and help us grow, don’t be afraid to submit news, dracopedia entries, media reviews or anything else that you feel may be useful, I hope to see this site grow quickly, and with your help it can.

For anyone with possible ideas for this site, please post your ideas in the suggestions section of the forum, or send them to me through the feedback option. As well for those new to the forum, be sure to note the common sense rules. Any artists, who may be willing to help me create images for this site please feel free to contact me.

Dragons Valley is Back!

Dragons Valley is back!

But, at this time I am still checking for bugs, and it may take me a couple days to set up and get everything organized.

During this brief period I would prefer not to have any new members join, as I would like to wait until I am certain that the site is properly running.

I will update the news again when the site is considered complete.
